Atholl Clasp -Elizabeth McLauchlan- 2016
In the past the Atholl Clasp has been awarded to a select number of people who have devoted their lives to Highland Dancing. In 2016 the ABHDI advised that the recipient was the ABHDI President, Elizabeth McLauchlan. This was the first time the award has been presented to an Australian and is a fitting accolade for Elizabeth’s hard work and dedication to Highland Dancing both at Board level as a long standing Executive member over many years, and also as a judge and highly successful teacher. Elizabeth’s highland dancing career highlights are very well known worldwide, and she has advised she has received many letters and messages of congratulations from friends and colleagues from around the globe.
